SOLD OUT!
Three artists on three different easels! Buzzer and they’re off! Paint, Paint, Paint! Buzzer and they switch to another easel and paint on their opponent’s painting. Buzzer, switch again!
This craziness is what Twin Steeples Creative Arts Center is calling its first annual Steeple Showdown. Each artist will start a painting, then switch to “duel” on each other’s paintings, then switch again.
The fun event stars popular artists Matthew Moore, Heather Perrin, and Marceo Brim who will have on hand their “seconds” to pump up the crowd and keep their artists furiously painting.
The Steeple Showdown is so BIG that it will not even fit at Twin Steeples. The Showdown will take place at one of its biggest patrons, The Oaks Event Center, 18444 Hwy. 22 East in Ponchatoula, Sunday, March 19, from 3-7pm.
The Duel culminates with a Live Auction featuring the Collector’s Edition BMW Motorcycle Montana previously owned by Twin Steeples founder Harry Gabriel. This motorcycle was featured in the James Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies”, has leather-covered saddle bags, heated handlebar grips, an ABS system, and its original tool kit!
The Live Auction also includes two packages of one week each at Harry’s Beach Colony Condo in Perdido, Florida, and the best part: the winning bidder gets to pick their week on the calendar! The condo has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a huge balcony overlooking the Gulf Coast and it sleeps eight guests.
The Live Auction also features a sculpture by Jim Creel, and, of course, the artists will auction off their three paintings created that day.
Since it’s a Showdown, wear your best Western outfit as there will be awards for Most Creative Cowboy and Cowgirl! Enjoy live music by Casey Saba, and celebrate art with Twin Steeples! Food is included. Cash bar available.
